To Infinity And Beyond?

Written by Declan

In the early years of 1950 the world was clawing back a sense of normality and recovery after the devastating effects of world war 2, but behind the scenes two political powers had started a new arms race that would eventually lead to the greatest achievement in mankind's history. This was the space race, a power struggle between the USA and USSR stemming from a nuclear arms race. But there was a third party involved, one hidden from the public eye that was slowly manipulating the US government to be the first country to reach the moon.

But who was this third party and why was the moon so important? As fans of assassins creed we can safely assume this third party was none other than the Templars, but their motives to get a man on the moon wouldn't come into the picture until 1963.

But what was so important about 1963? Sadly this was the year the world would be shocked by the devastating assassination of J.F Kennedy, and the reason why this tragic event pushed the templars to rush for USA to be the first and only people on the moon, was because president Kennedy was working to secure a deal with the Soviet Union for a joint venture to land on the moon. The templars had discovered a failed experiment to save themselves from the Toba catastrophe that had led to a Piece of Eden known as an Apple of Eden, to have become stuck on the moon. Fearing that the Soviet Union could steal the apple for themselves they then orchestrated their failed assassination attempt of J.F Kennedy (so who assassinated Kennedy?) in order to get their own templar member Lyndon B. Johnson into power.

On the 22nd of November Lyndon B. Johnson was officially sworn in as the 36th president of the United States, thus putting the Templars in a new state of power that allowed them to push for a solo mission to land on the moon. Five years later in 1969, Apollo 11 launched into space heading to the moon. By the 20th of July 1969, America had won the race and man was finally on the moon. With the world transfixed on Neil Armstrong's record breaking feat nobody noticed fellow astronaut and templar Buzz Aldrin securing the Apple of Eden. If they did, I wonder what humans would have thought seeing an astronaut holding something that they could only perceive as alien technology.

After landing back to earth, Buzz Aldrin handed the Apple over to the Templars, thus completing a mission ten years in the making. But there are still a few unanswered questions that have yet to be explored, one is if the Isu had the capability to fire a Piece of Eden into space, did they ever explore space unmanned or even manned by Isu astronauts? And after the failed experiment to strategically place Apples of Eden into space by the Isu, some got lost in space, why hasn't the templars or even assassins dared to venture back into space and seek out these objects, or maybe the laws of physics and space have pulled the Apples into an orbiting path where they will eventually fall back to earth?
